The Chalmers Ardler Youth Project

In the beginning,

The Chalmers Ardler Youth Project began in January 2021 when YMCA Tayside partnered with Chalmers Ardler church. The local Church in Ardler got in touch with us as they were wanting to support the local young people and offer them activities and opportunities. Through this project, we visit a local primary school weekly, run two weekly youth clubs and offer lots of great volunteering and youth leader opportunities. From the Chalmers Ardler Church alone, we have 6 volunteers that have help at the youth clubs every week.

 Junior Youth Club

Loads of activities, games and crafts for our P6/P7 young people!!

The junior youth club runs every Thursday from 5.30pm – 6.45pm during term time. At the Youth Clubs we always offer a variety of different activities, games and crafts to make sure everyone that attends has a great time! Throughout the year we organised various trips, visitors and experiences for the young people to help them connect with the community and grow their confidence.

 Teen Youth Club

A great space to have fun and relax with friends. For young people S1+

The teen club runs every Thursday from 7.30pm- 8.30pm during term time. This time is relaxed and can be used for young people to hang out and catch up with friends. We offer various activities such as cooking, games, football, board games and crafts that the young people can get involved in.

 Trips and visits

Fun days out and visits to serve in the local community

We try to make sure the Young People that attend our Youth Clubs always have something to look forward to. Some of these things are: outdoors days such as paddle boarding, trips such as Ryze trampoline world and visits in the local community such as residential home to sing Christmas carols and deliver gifts.
